You have not mentioned the TV make/model but if this is the conventional type then the anti degaussing posistor is short and is burning off the fuse on cold start. Please have it replaced and solder the joints of the fuse to ahve good contact.

Sanyo DP26640 LCD TV won't power up. Is there a fuse somewhere inside?

Every TV will have an AC fuse inside. This fuse can be located at its main power regulator [SMPS] board. This is a protection fuse; and if it is found burned [open], there should be sufficient reason for it. some kind of short circuit, or over voltage etc: Replacing this fuse without make sure, about the cause to burn the fuse; the newly inserted fuse too will fail, and more damage to set can occur. So, it is better to contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

The outside unit fuse pops after several minuets

You must use a time delay fuse to power unit , and you can try and use the maximum size fuse listed on unit . Also check to see if unit needs cleaning . Note if cold air from vents inside hits thermostat this will cause unit short cycling and blown fuse . Unit should not restart in less than 5 minutes , also check connections in outside unit and fuse holder where fuses blow for bad burned or overheated wires ,

Panasonic TV slow to turn on, works fine after it turns on.

If you have to try to turn it on several times it is power supply related.

If dirty inside on fans etc it would cause set to shut down(the set monitors the fans for speed)>

I would suggest (take it outside) using a air compressor and cleaning the entire set out.

Lamps do fail---average life is 2000 hours for a original lamp and much less for a generic one.

If picture comes up try to watch the light from the lamp---if dim at first and then slowly comes up---it could be the lamp or the ballast the set uses to power the lamp.

Mitsubishi TV, WD 60735; TV shuts off shortly after powering up.

It could be but a couple of other possible reasons---they had problems with this set and its brothers with caps in the main power supply puffing up and causing this "hard to turn on" issue.

A second reason is dust/dirt inside the unit.

All air is coming in via the front of the set and exits the rear--enough dust gets inside and the fans slow down or the lamp gets too hot and set shuts down---don't try this in the house: we take them with back cover off outside the building (on a ramp) and with air clean them out completely--try not to blow it inside the screen. It looks like a dust storm in most cases but can cause exactly the problem you have.

My LG 32LD320 won't turn on. I have no standby light and have even tried changing the fuse. Help please!

If total dead best way is to follow the AC voltage from power cord inside the set to see where voltage is lost.

Also , were you having any problems having to turn set on several times to get it on?

We had a lightning strike close by and now the TV will not turn on. Is it possible that there is a fuse that is blown?

Hello
It can't predict what may have wrong with your TV; becuse the lightning stroke will have trillions of volts when it strike the earth. Even its near presence will spoil the power supply section of any equipements. There is surely a fuse inside it, and you can check after opening the TV. Check it first. If it is burned, make a visual check inside the components of the TV for a burned damaged if any. If you find any of it, please do not put an other fuse and make an experiment with the TV. it may cause more components to be damaged. If no visual burned componets are seen, just put a fuse of same ratings [ratings will be either printed on its rims or indicated by colour bands across it]. If the replaced fuse again gets burned as the set is switched ON, make sure that some components in the power supply is shorted, and a through checkup should be done. Contact any experienced service technician to do the work. OK.

Sony KDF-50E2000 shuts down and blinks repeatedly twice.

The 2 blink error is a temperature error and the 6 blink error is a thermal fuse error. You may need to unplug the set and get you a can of canned air, take off the back lower cover and blow out all of the fans inside the set.

TV Turns off and on

How long since the last time the bulb was replaced? It sounds like the bulb is overheating and triggering a safety shutdown.

It's probably in need of nothing more than a good cleaning (open it up, clean off the boards with a can of air) and *may* be time to replace the bulb.

Red Power Light Blinking 6 Times

THIS IS HOW I FIX MY SONY TV WITH FIVE BLINKING RED POWER LIGHT.

PULL OUT LAMP - FIND THE INSTRUCTION ON LINE (SONY WEBSITE OR YOUTUBE) EASY

THERE ARE TWO METAL CONNECTION TABS (on top of the lamp) ON THE LAMP. CLEAN THESE TWO METAL FLAT TABS. THESE two tabs MAKE CONNECTION TO THE THERMAL FUSE. IF IT IS DIRTY IT WILL NOT MAKE CONNECTION to the fuse.
CLEAN YOU'RE LAMP WITH A VACUUM. GET ALL DUST OUT.. CLEAN OUT THE TV...THE FAN SUCKS IN DIRT. THIS WILL FIX many ISSUEs. like over heating! dog hair, dust, gets sucked inside the TV by the FAN....hmmmm

ALSO DO THIS TO ALL YOU'RE ELECTRONICS THAT HAS A FAN.

(I FEEL ALL FANS ON ELECTRONICS SHOULD BE REVERSED) but i am sure there is a stupid reason that they want the fan to **** air inside the electronics. Like hmm

THIS cleaning SHOULD BE DONE EVERY 6 MONTH
