I have the above cammera that is telling me that the card is not initialized, how can I initialize the card so I can take pictures

i don't know what memory card you are using but if it has a m or h on it it proably is not compatible w/out a firmware update-almost all cameras allow a card to be used w/out initalizing-see if you can format card in menus-will lose data-if nothing works assume it's type of card
