Rock the bike gently forward and back while shifting into fifth gear. Now push the bike forward while sitting on it and see if the rear tire turning will turn the motor. If not, your motor is stuck. If it turns, you have a kickstarter issue. Many people never learned to depress the kickstarter down until you feel it engage before kicking it through. Kicking from the top slams the gear teeth together and causes damage. You may need to pull of the engine cover to determine if there’s damage.
Go to a dealer and purchase a factory service manual. They may need to order it but doing a teardown without one is foolish. I really fear you are getting into a project beyond what you expect. If the bike is shifting properly the gearbox does not need to be opened up. The kickstart and clutch can be serviced by just removing the right side case cover. By the way, some special tools are needed to engine repairs.
check first if spark plug working you can see spark light on it upon kickstart. then proceed with the gas carburetor if gas intake working and not stuck. if no power goes to spark plug trace the source. first the cdi then the ignition coil and the voltage regulator.
hi friend, Step 1 Move switch to ON positionLocate your dirt bikes OFF/ON, RUN/OFF, or START Switch. Use your finger to move the switch to the RUN, ON, or START position.
Step 2 Turn fuel switch ONLook on the side of your dirt bike near the engine and locate the "FUEL ON/OFF" switch. Use your finger to move the lever to the "ON" position. Your dirt bike will not start if the fuel is turned off. This off switch helps prevent fuel leaks when your dirt bike is stored.
Step 3 Turn choke ONIf your dirt bike engine isn’t warm, you will need to turn the choke on to start the bike. Locate the choke lever near the engine on the side of your dirt bike, probably not far from the "FUEL ON/OFF" switch. Use your finger to move the choke lever to the on position. Once your dirt bike has started and the engine has warmed up, you will need to move the choke lever to the "off" position.
Step 4 Foot on kick start pegBend your knee and place your foot on the kick start peg while leaning your weight on your other foot. Stand slightly and push the kick starter all the way down with as much force as you can.
Step 5 Push all the way downIf the bike doesn't start after the first attempt to kick start it, try again. Remember to push the peg as far down as it will go with as much of your weight as possible.

If your dirt bike has a four-stroke compression engine and won't start, release the compression valve and try starting it again.
Sometimes, the engine remains in a compressed position and cannot turnover until the pressure is released.
If your dirt bike is equipped with an electric-starter, but won't start, you can follow these steps and kick start it.
Remember: always wear safety equipment when operating a dirt bike or ATV.
You should at least wear a helmet, boots that cover your ankles, and a chest protector to avoid serious injury.
Always supervise children when operating motor vehicles.

Sounds like sand in the reed valve block.
Take the carb off & carefully remove the reed block ensuring no more sand goes into the crankcase. Clean & replace
This was a problem with the old time bultco's. as the ignition timing was to close to Top Dead Center and it would push the crank backwards sometimes when starting.
