Hp pavilion a1220n comptur will not start unplugged unit and when i plugged to back in it would not start

Do you see anything on the monitor screen? Does the tower make any beeping noise or clicking noise, or does the fan tries to start up when you power the computer on? Are the cables connected properly?
If you see anything on the monitor screen, or if you hear a beeping sound, let us know so we can diagnose further.

Use Google to find a device driver. Type in the make and model of your printer, simply followed by "driver". The manufacturer's website usually has drivers posted.

Compture is on but nothing on the monitor. Monito...

Try to check the power supply at the back of your computer that they have works normally if the fan are not punctioning so it means your power supply are damage. But if they works just checked the connection inside or clean the RAM's pin by wiping of pencil eraser or rubber. Or check the processor that they dont have any overheat, just hold the heatsink of the processor and if it is very heat so your processor is damage.

Audio cuts in and out in media center or while watching a dvd

Check to ensure that the speaker connection plug is fully inserted into the speaker jack on the computer. Do the same for the power connection at the speaker, too. Slightly wiggle or twist the connections and wires - one at a time to isolate the source of the failure (can be the power plug or wire, audio plug or wire, or even the jack on the PC . If related to the speaker plug, try using the speakers in another speaker jack on the PC - or other device (mp3 player, etc.) if the problem is still present on both locations, it is related to the speakers / power. Try using a pair of headphones plugged directly into the speaker jack on the PC to see if the problem is present still. If the problem is common to both speaker and headphones, the jack on the PC is likely the culprit, and a new sound card will probably have to be installed. Otherwise, replace / repair the speaker cable, plug or system.

The likely source of the problem is a stretched wire along the cord - or at the plug. A repair can be attempted if desired - or replace the speaker system if lacking tools or if unsure how to go about it.

Yesterday I turned on my compture and it had said that I needed to change my ip address and it was not connecting to the internet. I turned off the wireless and when dirctly through the modem and restated...

shound like there might of been a ip conflict, something else on the network wanted the same ip as a device already on the network. it can be fixed the same way as you done it last time. its hard to say if it will happen again? is you network secured or an open network. if your network is open i could very well happen again

Psu blinking green light, no power

I read all the solutions, followed the manufacturers instructions exactly, replaced the cmos battery and nothing solved the problem (blinking light on PSU after a power failure and no startup at all). I had ascertained that the PSU was intact by disconnecting all the PSU connections to drives and motherboard at which time the PSU LED stopped blinking and was constantly on.
Just before throwing my computer away I decided to follow the instructions listed by "guest" to unplug the power to the motherboard and then with the power supply back on to plug the cables back into the motherboard. No only did sparks not fly, but it started up and ran perfectly! Many thanks to "guest."
