Yes correct! No more the Myguide company. Try another navigation system... not the factory default "PLUS".

I think it shoud works good with Igo 8.3 or 8.5 or Amigo

Slow at finding satelites

Most common reasons for this is that your battery level is low. Make sure it is fully charged before use.

Myguide 3100 stuck in start screen, it all happened when I restarted my GPS after 2 months. I charged it completely and then tried resetting but it does not help. Even I cannot switch off the device !.....

Use the map cd you should have got in the box with the myguide. Put it into your computer and attach the myguide to your computer with a usb cable. An option should appear to reinstall original software do this and that shoud work

No satelite reception

Most GPS problems - Hangs, frozen screens, problems acquiring satellites, ETC, can be attributed to the device not having the latest firmware installed.
This firmware enables it to communicate with the satellites - but if they aren't speaking the same language they get confused easily. For Garmin GPS Automotive units, Garmin has you do the following before sending it in for repairs:
1 - SOFT RESET
2 - HARD RESET (CLICK HERE to see instructions for either reset)
3 - UPDATE the device using their WebUpdater software (CLICK HERE for that) Garmin is the only company that offers repairs AFTER the warranty has expired. They offer a FLAT RATE REPAIR service for units no longer in warranty. For Other GPS units please consult your owner's manual or their support site - as each model - and even manufacture dates - can lead to different reset procedures. TomTom
NAVIGON

MAGELLAN NEXTAR does NOT offer any types of Firmware or map upgrades or repair services. Instead - they have an exchange program to update to a new UNIT for around the same price as a repair would be. CLICK HERE for more on that. WARRANTY on most GPS devices is 1 year from the date of purchase. Broken screens are considered ABUSE - and not covered under warranty. Finally - If your unit is on the charger for HOURS, You've tried both the car AND USB type charger, and you turn it on... it stays on for a minute (or so) then powers down or never comes on at all - the battery has lost it's ability to hold a charge and must be replaced. Looking around YouTube - you can get a tutorial on how to CAREFULLY crack open just about any GPS. The tool(s) necessary typically are included with the battery purchase. Typically batteries run about $25 +/-. NiCd batteries are meant to be energized once a month so they keep active, and don't build up deposits that lead to their premature failure. I hope this was helpful for you. Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My tom tom ONe cannot get a valid Satelite Signal just stays wait

If you are indoors then move outdoors to get a signal.

If you are outdoors then move your location by a few yards and sometimes it will suddenly aquire the satellites.

Happens occasionally with my unit. I normally set a route up then start driving and it suddenly starts to work OK.

Gps model 330

Hi,
-after the units have been off for awhile...they need considerable time to reconfigure the satelites

-so.....
  1. go outside with unit turned on
  2. find an open area...with a clear view of the sky...i.e. away from trees/bldgs/etc.
  3. wait...upwards of 20+ minutes...depending upon your unit
  4. it should be picking up signals continuously...and begin to calculate your location
-the above assumes that the unit has batteries, hasn't been dropped, etc.
-if that is the case....then the unit has other issues

Cannot get satelite signal for magellan triton 1500.

Options:
1) Walk outside and give the unit 3 - 5 minutes to acquire satellites.
2) Push the PAGE/GOTO button on the left side of the unit until you see the satellite page and see if you are picking up satellite.
3) If 2 and 3 do not work .. then reload the firmware again.
