Question about Washing Machines
The beep when any button is pressed.
There are 3 possibilities for this problem.
1) Door not closed properly or faulty door switch.
2) The Front /membrane(also called the touch pad assembly) is faulty.
3) The main control board faulty.
So first open the door and check the door assembly. On the door side as well as on the machine frame where the door connected. If there is any dust or some thing blocking the door to get connected to the door frame on the machine. If all is clean an ok then check the door latch which open/close.Is this latch looking cracked or broken any where. If that also looks OK then check the door close noise. When the door is closed you will hear a noise. That is a "CLICK" nose.See if that noise is coming. If not then its the indication of faulty door closing assembly,it has to be replaced.Press the door to close bit tightly then check.if the same beep comes. Many cases the door do not close properly causes this. Now in case door and its latch and assembly all checked OK then,in most cases the control board check out faulty.Because if the touch pad is faulty then ,you will not hear a beep as its faulty. But still in some rare cases the front membrane touch pad is faulty.

Hello. If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
