Hello

OK, have a look and see if the unit is still in warranty. If not, then you will need to open up the unit and see if the capacitor on that channel is still in tact. If not, you will need to get it replaced.

This can also be an IC on the center channel.

This is not something i will suggest you try doing yourself. Rather get it done by an professional.

Kind regards
Andrea

HI, I have Receiver Marrantz SR- 5005, the center chanel does not work, please tell me what happened and solution to fix the problem. Thanks

Get the manual and open it up to the part where speakers are defined, then test it/them with tones. Try swapping a different speaker into the center if the current center channel speaker still doesn't work.

Web search "Marantz SR-5005 manual" (note the spelling)

Um, this product doesn't use color coded or proprietary speaker wires nor does it have a connector for Center, which is built into the stand as well as the front speakers.

Onkyo TX-DS696 receiver center channel not working

Can you say explicitly that the Center Channel speaker is defined as something other than NONE?

And how does dialog sound? If it sounds ok you're routing it to the front speakers. This is from the manual...

"For ideal Surround effects, all speakers should be installed. If a
center speaker or subwoofer is not connected, the sound from the unused channel is properly distributed to the connected speakers in order to produce the best Surround sound possible."

Have you re-run the speaker definition and level steps? I can't find the manual. Perhaps you could flip a few pages in the Troubleshooting Section.

Center Channel not working on pioneer vsx-d608

Be sure the sound source has a center channel output ie. not a 2 channel source only, try the test tone setup for 5 or 6 channel balance, if no sound from the center channel still then it is looking like maybe the center channel is blown.

Center channel

Just to rule out the easy solutions, have you made sure no settings changed? Make sure that you didn't accidentally turn off any surround sound settings or turn off the center channel in the MCACC setup or the like (I have the VSX-D814, so your receiver should have MCACC as well). If you're sure no settings changed and the center channel should be working according to the receiver, then it would appear that the center channel amp went out in the receiver. You can either get a Pioneer service center to take a look at it, or if you're comfortable with electronics, I believe you can get the parts straight from Pioneer.
