Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI02IRBS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDS01....

Dishwasher would occasionally completely lose power and then begin working again. Unfortunately, this last time in didn't come back on. Then as we were about to call a tech I shut the door the control panel lit up and it began to hum. But that's it. I accessed the control board and check for continuity and got it in the fuse on the control board. When I reconnected the wires it no longer hummed, but now it won't do anything. I have power, but nothing happens. Is my control board bad?

Dishwasher does not turn on. It may have overheated

  • sssuperd May 23, 2008

I decided to take the spray arms off and check under the filter. I was able to get the dishwasher to hum again. It bubbles water up and hums. I pulled the dishwasher out and checked the motor. It's not stuck. I unhooked the water line and tried it again. It still bubbles with water. Seems like it's not draining or not sucking in water from the water line. After messing around I went to try it again and now nothing. The power is on but it won't hum/bubble anymore.

The overheating thing makes sense but what could be causeing it?

  • sssuperd May 25, 2008

Had no continuity to the water inlet assembly so I replaced it. Still nothing works. It's got to be the control board but I don't want to spend the money and then be wrong.

I noticed the detergent was not washing out and noticed that only a small amount of water was in the machine when it started spraying . I have been adding water at each cycle and it works well, but what a chore. I believe the water supply is open and wonder if this might be a part needed.

The pump is stuck. remove motor.insert plastic pen into bottom of motor.remove impeller by turning counter clockwise.file bottom of impeller stem.put enough washers on the keeper clip to prevent the impeller and the pump housing from binding.reassemble and there you have it!!!!

KitchenAid KUDS30FXSS Dishwasher won't complete cycle

Press the Cancel/ Drain cycle for a few seconds. The dishwasher should reset itself. See if this makes any difference. Also first turn the mains power to dishwasher off and back on.

Lost web interface otherwise system is working

This does happen occasionally but is not a typical thing. This means that you have either lost network access to the system or a service on the system has stopped. The system will have to be rebooted to get things going normally again. The preferred method (since you can do it through netset) is to connect to the console port with a DB9 straight through serial cable and open hyperterm or putty and connect to it at 9800, 8, 1 none settings. Hit ctrl r and the system will reboot. if you don't have a serial cable then you are forced to pull the power or switch it off and then back on. CAUTION: you risk a database corruption every time the system loses power without closing the database properly (netset or ctrl r through the console) so do this as a last resort. Also, the system will do a disk scan (except V3001) and will take 15 to 45 minutes to complete before the system will start to function again. DO NOT UNPLUG IT AGAIN WHILE IT IS DOING A DISK SCAN! You can tell if it is doing the scan by looking at the S1 and S2 lights on the Call Processor. During a disk scan, they will be alternating back and forth (like police lights). Wait for it to complete and try netset again. I recommend doing a fresh reboot through netset after it comes back up just to be sure it's a fresh clean boot.

KITCHENAID DW KUDS30FXSS - 18 months old, will not complete cycles. Runs for 15 mins and stops & lights go out. Cleaning tablet often left in dispensor.

See my problem and solution. Sounds like you, too, are having a problem with the main control board (computer chip that controls the dishwasher), which is apparently a common problem with this model dishwasher. The part can be found here, for $211 (tax + shipping), and they have a 30-day return policy in the event that it does not fix the problem. It's an easy DIY fix. Hopefully this helps!

Dishwasher starts then pauses and drains.

Fixed! I had the issue where the cycle would start, the KUDS30IXBL8 would hum 4-5 times and then drain. Plastic folk pieces jammed in the disposer. These instructions took a few minutes (only 5 screws and a couple clips) to figure out how to take it apart, and it only took 60 seconds to put back together. Hello Tom Weiss, There are a couple of things to check.
1. Check connection at the dishwasher. It is possible that the wire nuts came lose. Re-tighten and wrap with electrical tape to secure.
2. Check for a small leak from sink or faucet this has also been the culpret before.

My AC worked great until last year and then after a power steering hose leak was discovered, the ac until stopped blowing cold air. I took it and paid 75.00 to have it recharged with coolant and it worked...

My air conditioner started blowing hot air last summer. I put coolant in it and didn't run it until the beginning of summer this year (2011). All of a sudden it started working again. Sometimes it blows hot but if I keep it running full blast the coolness comes back. I don't know why this happened.
