Question about Bialetti Venus 4 cup stainless steel stovetop espresso maker
I bought 3 days ago this coffee maker after using 2 times (the part where we put the water) the bottom of the coffeemaker became like oxidized with black and white spots into part to save water, is this normal? I'm worried for our health and hygiene awaiting for your answer thank you sincerely Isabella

put some vineger in it and heat it up, like a flushing and then rinse out thoroughly. See what that does for you.

It's the gasket!!!!! Store the pot with the two parts screwed TIGHTLY together for about a week. Tighten it up as the new gasket compresses. Problem solved in two weeks or less. Also cook on medium to low heat. High flame seems to make the problem worse.

You cannot wash aluminum items in a diswasher with phosphate based detergent. You'll corrode the aluminum. Best practice is to handwash any aluminum items. Phosphate over time will also etch your glasses, so I suggest always using a non-phosphate detergent - look for Seventh Generation or similar "Eco-friendly" detergents - it will save your glassware too.
