Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

LG 50PC5D UL.AUSYLJR I changed the panel out but LG sent me on of their famous substitute panels that suppose to work. They also sent some cables to adapt over to my old psu. They work ok from psu to y sus but there is another 13 pin cable that I have no idea where goes. LG tech assist is absolutely NO help. Anyone have had this problem?

It may just be an alternate attachment option for you, and may not be required to be plugged in anywhere. You may want to call and try talking to another LG person to see if they have more insight, but noone here is familiar with a 13 pin cable like that. It sounds like it is just an alternative plug in method, which in your case you do not need.

Thanks
Tim

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If picture only one side or only top or bottom set uses two boards to drive the screen, either one of them is bad or the actual display panel itself--it is the entire screen unit where the picture is displayed.

Maybe a tuner problem--considered hooking up whatever you use for signal to the rear av jacks? bypass the problem?

Image on LG 42PC5D-UL is off center toward right side of screen after replacing main board eax38589402 from LG 50PC5d-UL. Both boards have same part number.

You've got to go minto your main menu and in the screen position settings you will be able to correct the horizontal offset and the verticle offset. You'll also hve the option of resetting all values to factory default but, I would suggest the former first. Thanks, Dana

Hello,
The power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Take care in solving the problem....

Grainy picture on LG 50PC5D plasma

Did you try another HDMI cable?

Did you try another DVD player?

If the above try-outs does not work for you, then the fault is most likely with the HDMI input processor area. For this the set will require service.

LG 50PC5D rigth screen colored lines 12''

LG 50PC5D-UL Plasma TV.... While playing XBox360 the screen just shrunk to the top 3" as though some one was holding a towel over the bottom portion of the screen. I have unplugged all inputs and the unit. I have let it cool down. Still it remains in this condition. I can't see the menu because it's in the portion of the screen that is "blacked out". What do I do?
