It willpower down only for 2 causes:
1 - the power source detects a failed power amplifier and shuts down to protect the rest of the components.
2 - the power source itself is damaged - probably a filtering capacitor has failed.
The only way to know which and what must be one to fix it is to open the receiver and test the components. A good experience in electronics is mandatory, so you better take it to a good repair shop.

Disconnect all the speakers, and then check. Connect the speakers, one by one, and find which one makes it overload. That speaker is faulty. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

How do I get the powered subwoofer to work with a pioneer VSX-D510

You plug a subwoofer RCA cable into the Subwoofer Preout from the back of the VSX-D510 and to the input on the back of the subwoofer. If there is a red / white connection don't sweat it, just use the red. Should work fine.

How to hook it up with sub dvd

Not sure what a "sub dvd' is but here's the manual. The Subwoofer Pre Out would provide a Line Level feed for a powered subwoofer, once it is configured to do so.

PIONEER AMP ERROR

Hello,
Most probably you have one of the power amplifier modules bad. They are the PAC010 and PAC011 type. You can remove one and power up the receiver. If it powers-up normaly it's that one.... (50% chance) Otherwise remove both and it should power up normally. Beware that these parts are expensive... Most times just with a new part the problem is solved. YMMV. Good luck

Must be the protection circuits kicking in. One or more amp channels must have blown.

Pioneer vsx-d510 coaxial dvd connection problem

Hello,
I recommend you use an optical connection. Your VSX-D510 has only one optical input, but I believe it is assignable. Use a good optical cable and connect directly to your DVR. Follow the manual to assign the input and it should work.
Good luck

Pioneer VSX D510 Reciever (power supply or the main amp circuit problem)

I'm having the same problem. I read on a kind of VSX-D510 eletronic manual tha says POWER OFF "When displayed, it's the case where DC is in the output of AMP".

Do you know what does it means? How can I solve the problem?
