You have a bad fill valve. It is located where the water hoses are connected to it. It will need to be replaced. go to appliancepartspros.com put in model number and it will show you breakdown of your machine and where part is located. you can order part through them then replace it your self.

What does error f27 mean? During the wash cycle the water runs in the machine continuously and the displays "F27." The only way to shut off the water is to turn off the water tap. Even when the machine...

"F27" is an Overflow Condition error. The following link explains how to troubleshoot:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608602-f27_error_code

This can be one of the more difficult error codes to diagnose because there are so many potential causes. Read through the information provided and try to eliminate the easy (and obvious) things first. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this help you.

HINT: One obvious symptom that helps narrow down a potential cause is the fact that the washer does not stop filling with water even when unplugged. More than likely, you have a defective water inlet valve that is causing this.

Washer fills with hot water even when unplugged

The freezing messed up the fill valve. This is the part that your hoses connect to on the back of the washer. Replace it and you will be fine.

My Kenmore top loading washing machine is leaking from the bottom. The water is dripping from the bottom of the front panel. What needs to be fixed and how do I do it?

This symptom usually indicates that you have a failed inlet solenoid water valve assembly. Completely unplug the washer from the electrical supply and see if the water stops filling. If it does, then you likely have a control board failure. This is rare but possible. If the water continues to fill with the washer unplugged from electricity, I recommend shutting off the hot and cold water supply faucets behind the washer. It is likely that the water will stop filling the washer. This would indicate that you have a failed water valve assembly.
