Question about Jandy Laars Lt 250,000 Btu Heater
This unit uses dual thermostat and electronic temperature control.
Testing the thermostats to reveal a 5 or 10 degrees gap is quite difficult (it is easy finding out a broken thermostat), and such a small error gap lets think that the problem is not the thermostat but the electronic control.
You can take a chance replacing the thermostats and then the electronic control. I think that in this case the job should be better done by a technician. The difficulty in this case is not replacing parts, but testing them. The fault is uncommon and probably caused by an electronic control. An on-site technician may spot some clue of a different problem before replacing the electronic control.
