If it's installed, and drivers correctly installed, all you need to do is put the card into the respective slot on the reader.

Where on the reader do I insert an Olympus xd picture card (M512 MB) ?

An USB memeory card reader should have several slots to insert the various memory cards.
You insert the memory card into the correct slot on the card reader and then connect the CARD reader with the USB cable into the USB port on your computer.
The computer will see this as an external storage device, you can then copy the photos off the memory card into your computer.

Hi, on my PC I have installed a card reader, but when I put the card into it nothing happens. Specifically, the indicator lights up but the system does not react at all. Kingston SDHC card is 4 gigabytes...

Hello jony_harker,
Did you install the driver for the card reader? If not, you may want to start with that.
Also, have you tried the card reader with any other cards?
Another option, is make sure that the card itself is not set to the "lock" position. (There is typically a little tab that you can slide)

Is there and sd card slot anywhere????

I believe SD card readers plug into the usb, the sd card then plugs into the reader to read.
A permanent sd card slot can be installed in the small floppy disc tray and plugged into the mobo.
But the sd usb option is bone cheap.

My computer which is a Compaq doesnt seem to have a slot to put the sandis adapter in. What do I need to get so that I can download music to my lg banter phone?? Please let me know what its called and...

By "sandis" adapter I'm assuming you mean SanDisk adapter. SanDisk is a company that produces flash memory for use in cameras, phones, and other portable devices. The adapter you're referring to adapts a Micro SD card (that fits in your phone) to a Standard SD card. The device you're looking for is an SD Card Reader - although they're generally found as part of a MultiMedia Card Reader. This is a device that plugs up to a USB port on your machine and allows you to access various types of removable media. Fortunately they're readily available and can be found at most large retail stores for under $15. I'm posting a link below to one available from Amazon.com just so you get an idea of what you're looking for. Best of luck!

I HAVE A EAGLE Tec CARD READER 4 IN 1. I CAN READ ALL OTHER MEMORY CARDS BUT SD HC 60 HD CARD

Dear jesiasorab:
It might be that your card reader is not able to read SDHC cards which are different than regular SD cards.

Check the site for your card reader and see if it specifically says it can read SDHC.

I put a sd memory card from my camera in my computer. the computer hasnt uploaded the pictures or done anything.

Hi,
I guess you have a built in card reader? Is there any chance your camera SD card is SDHC? Some card readers including built in types and those that you connect to a USB port have trouble with the later and faster generation SDHC cards but are happy with plain old SD cards.
If you are using an external card reader, does it work in another computer? If it does work, then the problem is with your computer.
If you have a built in reader, can you borrow someones external card reader that you know and does work with SD and SDHC cards?
Can you try an older SD card in your current setup? If that works OK then it's the issue with SDHC that is your problem.
Easily fixed by buying yourself a $10-20 external card reader
Cheers,
Steve

Where do i plug a card reader into my pcchips a33g

Most card readers are driven by USB ports. The card reader connector should match the pins of one of the USB connectors on the MB.

Card reader connector

Open you're manual for the PC. Find an opened USB port & plug you're card reader on the pins. Match the pins with the card reader connector. Card readers can & do use different connectors. (USB, PCI & SATA). If you list the name & model of you're card reader, I can be more specific.
You should have received a small quick guide with the card reader.
