This is a 4 ton model condensing unit. You can go up 1/2 ton for the evaporator, meaning a 4 1/2 (A) coil will work just fine and allow a bit more cooling capacity.
It sounds like your compressor is either not running or is low on refrigerant. If it is low on refrigerant it means you have a refrigerant leak somewhere in the system. The leak would have to be found and repaired or the unit is going to keep leaking down every time you pay to have it recharged.
You can turn off the Thermostat, and the powers switch on the furnance and turn the breaker off in the breaker box wait about 20 - 30 minutes and turn the breaker back on, and the power to the furance back on and the thermostat, this should reset the system.
