Question about Garden
Ok, first thing; the rooting hormone powder is Very concentrated and should never be touched with your skin. Secondly, the cuttings need to be fresh cut or have been recently recut on the ends. If you are doing hardwood cuttings or green , the process is similar: Dip the fresh cut end lightly in the powder and place in the rooting medium ( this can be anything from warm sand to a peat mix). Your two enemies are rot from too much moisture and dryout failure from not enough. You can root green cuttings at room temperature, but hardwood cuttings do a little better if cooler. I do most of my rooting in my kitchen these days using a cold tea made from snips of willow branches. This has a ton of rooting hormone and is safer and cheaper (free) to use. I root most of my plants in water jars on the windowsill. Hope this is helpful,
