Optoma Power Problem

I have the same power problem you had and I have my projector torn apart but I can't seem to find the fuse. Can you give me some idea as to where it is and a better description of it? Also where did you find a replacement from? Any help would be appreciated,

John Jones

Hi Jjonesiii

The fuse will be on the Powersupply Board ( the one with the AC socket in it )

I bought the fuse from our local harware shop.

A majority of it is located within its power supply (located near the power socket).

A slide got stuck in the projector, and when I took it out the projector just died. No power. Any ideas about what's happened? Thanks

If this is a Kodak Slide Projector, there are 2 thermal fuses (1 is in the motor and NOT replaceable and 1 is in the area of the lamp). Almost ALL Kodak projectors had 2 thermal fuses as described. You need to determine the model, as that will determine which fuse or motor assembly you will have to buy & install to fix your projector. If its a Kodak, let me know the model and I can help you further! You can buy parts for Kodak projectors at: www.micro-tools.com.
Good Luck! Jim

Optoma h79 wont power up is there a fuse to replace if so where is it thanks

hi,
All electronic equipments have fuse in the power supply section.
In your projector it is inside the unit. The fuse of projectors will blows only if there is any trouble in the power supply. Just try to replace the fuse in the power supply board. It will be near the input connector. If the fuse again blews then you have to replace the power supply board. Because the components in a projector power supply is rearly available. You will not be able to access the fuse with out oppening the projector.
OK

Blotchy colors on optoma hd80

i had, have the same problem i also replaced the bulb then shortly after the power went out no standby light or anything. From what i've read so far it seems like a power supply issue so i ordered two power supplys from optoma 1 for lamp 1 for the unit waiting on delivery from CA they were $ 99 each if this work i'll be one happy camper. Three years no problems it's a great machine with incredible picture using 106" screen

This projector was given to me by a friend. The control buttons on the top of the projector do not seem to work. The projector seems to work fine otherwise. Any idea what the problem could be?

The projector was in security mode B which lock all of the projectors controls. I found the solution to this problem in an online manual for the projector. The solution is this button sequence: power-- enter-- power--enter-- power--- enter-- menu. This sequence unlocks the projector controls by resetting the security password.
