SOURCE: Canon ImagePress C1 error E000747-8000

E747 from what I remember is the connection cable from either the scanner to the print device, or scanner to the copier. Make sure that none are loose and they are in the correct slots.
Mismatching the cables may result in the error.

SOURCE: Canon ImagePress C1 has error

Hi

This error is caused due to faulty thermister however; you can check the fuser unit for any jammed paper around the upper fixing roller and try to clean that area. After this is done try to clear the error by entering the service mode, to enter press Additional functions, #. Then go to #7 Printer and press OK, then go to #4 printer reset and press OK, yes= *. If the issue returns then replace the thermister. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Hello, as soon as i turn on my canon imagepress c1 photocopier, i have this error message E000073-0001 how to solve it . thanks

The E000073-0001 error code on the Canon ImagePRESS C1 photocopier is related to a problem with the temperature sensor in the fuser unit. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve this issue:
  1. Turn off the copier and unplug it from the power source. Allow it to cool down for a few minutes.
  2. Check the fuser unit for any visible signs of damage, such as wear or burn marks.
  3. Check the temperature sensor and its wiring for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires or broken connections.
  4. Reconnect any loose or disconnected wiring and ensure that the fuser unit is properly seated and connected.
  5. Power on the copier and see if the error code has cleared. If it hasn't, you may need to replace the fuser unit or the temperature sensor.
If you are not comfortable performing these steps or if the error code persists after attempting to troubleshoot the issue, it is recommended that you contact a professional technician or service provider who is experienced in repairing Canon photocopiers. They will be able to diagnose and fix the problem.

Canon ImagePress C1 cannot calibrate from Windows 7

The problem is it doesn't recognize Java 7. Install Java 6 (latest version) and it will work. You can have both Java 6 and 7 installed at the same time. As well make sure if you are running a 64bit machine you install the 32bit version of Java (so you will have 4 versions installed). Java 7 32 & 64 bit, Java 6 32 & 64 bit. I had the same issue and solved it this way.

I have error code E000732-0001 on Canon imagepress C1

Error :
E732 code

Workaround :
E732 code is a Reader communication error.
If the Reader is disconnected from the Printer a E732 code will result. Once the Reader is disconnected the logic on the MAIN-Controller is changed to a "0". The copier is now set up to be a Printer only, and will not recognize the Reader.
To correct this, you must enter service mode, COPIER>OPTION>BODY>W/SCNR and set that to "1". Then you must turn the copier off, then on.
To enter service mode: press "Additional Functions" then "2" and "8" together, then "Additional Functions".

Explanation

there is no site other than looking at the specs for each machine at canonusa.com. As for the 3170 the 70 series is just a newer version of the 3100 however I would not recomend purchasing a used 3100 they are labor intensive. And yes the CLC series is old and outdated. The imagepress is its own beast, that machine runs very well.
If you are looking at buying a used machine in the 30 page per minute range I would go with a IRc3200, 3220 same as before the 20 is just the newer one.
