I have an EMSON battery operated SLIM MIXER, that uses two AA batteries. This is item NO 9747. I put two batteries in correctly, but do not understand how to start the unit as there does not appear to be any switch. Thank you.

I have an Artisan mixer KSM150xxxx. This mixer has been lightly used for about 3 years. The other night, I tried to grind meat with it, but it just wasn't pushing anything through, like the motor was too...

Here are 2 KitchenAid service manuals
This service manual is not and exact match for the KSM150 but the internal motor control parts and gears are in the the same locations and the troubleshooting procedures are the same:

And the bigger model service manual with nice to know info:

These should help you remove the gear. Having said that... here is what may have happened but it is going to be a stretch for a limited use mixer. There may be some wear on the bevel gear shaft and it is catching on the bearing. Before you go hammering on it get yourself some emery cloth / sanding cloth and PUSH the bevel gear back to it's installed position and spin the gear while gripping the emery cloth. Your attempting to remove any ridges on the shaft so that will slide out of the housing.

When it comes time for BRUTE FORCE... make sure you put a small piece of wood at the end of the motor shaft. (not in the books!) I have ruined a motor driving the bevel gear out and it smashed into the motor shaft. (something you do ONCE!) Ever since then I always put a piece of wood between gear and motor when Hammering. The bearing may come out with the bevel gear too. It is almost impossibe to use a bearing press to remove this bevel gear but you can use a C-clamp if your carefully positon it. (

I have a ge jvm 1750 dm1ww microvawe and suddenly stop working . i changed the 20 amp 250 w fuse inside the display panel and the light and the microvawe started working again. However as soon as i use the...

It's possible the high-voltage capacitor is bad, but I suspect a bad interlock monitor switch. This is one of several switches operated by the door latches, and it's wired to cause the fuse to blow if you try to operate the oven with the door open. The switch may be stuck, which can happen if the oven door gets slammed. It's also possible the switch is good but is out of adjustment.

Replacement switches are available. The Sears parts website has an exploded diagram showing where it's located (item number 30). You should let a professional make the repair, though. Microwave ovens are dangerous items to work on, and if door repairs aren't done correctly there can be excessive microwave leakage.

From your description the motor has become seized and the only option is replace the motor, but probably not cost effective, serious consideration should be given in just replacing the entire mixer.

Hi, I have a Bush Fp026 food processor and am having problems getting the mixer/processor element to work. The blender is fine, but how do I get the mixer working!? HELP!!

Are you sure you have the Model Number correct. I believe the Bush appliances are also marketed under the Kewwood brand name. Was able to find information for the Kenwood FP260. When you see the picture on the front you should know if it is applicable to your product,

The instruction book is available here.

The machine will not work if not assembled correctly. Check the schematic provide for assembly and make sure you are putting the processor together correctly. The fact the blender works fine suggests that when you assemble the processor it is not engaging with the safety switch which would allow power to engage.

Information on other models can be found here.

I have a very old mixer, a hamilton beach no.18. I have a basic understanding of how things work, but this has me beat. The cup holder switch is the on/off, and the top switch is to change speed correct?...

The green ground wire attaches directly to the frame of the mixer. If the green iwire is attached directly to the speed "prong" you will have a direct short. There should be a grounding screw just inside the place where the wire enters the frame. If it really old, you may not have a ground screw because in the old days the wires only had two prong plugs. You can operate the machine without a ground wire, but if it fails internally you could get a potentially fatal shock. Any screw that is attached directly to the frame can be used as a ground screw. The green wire is there to take any grounded short circuit back to the breaker box instead of sending the electricity into you.

Microwave not working although oven & grill ok

Sorry about my last reply I just saw your model.

I have found that some older microwaves (the cheaper ones like under $250 au) use sub standard parts. The heating motor in these units simply wear out. Honestly it would be cheaper to go out and buy a new cheap unit than to get it repaired as the parts for these units are very expensive.
These items are clasified as disposable units. Where to but a new unit may cost $200 anf the replacement part may cost $150 and then you have the cost of labor of a Microwave specialist installing it. Which I would not attempt yourself as if it is not installed correctly or the unit not put back together correctly could cause harmful microwave leaks during operation.
