Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

2 Answers

I have a new computer and printer. The printer is HP Office Pro 8500. I am trying to transfer photos from my camera stick to the computer. I can't find instructions to be able to do this. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. The computer is P6000.

Plug the stick into the PC. If your PC has the proper program for doing this if should auto start and there will be a help section normal find help stuff at top of window on right side of menus.
If program doesn't auto start you will probably have to find a program that will allow you to do this, some sort of photo edit program or such.

If this helps please rate.

Usually on a PC there is an area to insert you media card (SD, MMC, MS / MS PRO, etc. Does your have any? Does your camera have a USB cord? If your camera has a USB cord than just plug it into your camera and your pc, your computer will find it and ask you what you want to do with the files found. If you have not connected your camera to your computer before it will say found new hardware and install the device drivers. Than you can import your photos.

uninstall drivers and reinstall drivers from hp.com's website:

When I install my Memory Stick Pro Duo 8GB in my camera it will format and take and store photos fine 1460 total. I then try to put the Memory stick in my card reader which says it supports this format it...

You need a new memory card reader. The reader isn't supporting the higher capacity of the new Memory stick. For a workaround, hook the camera directly into the computer via USB cable - then the camera itself becomes the reader and can transfer all of the pictures. Look for a reader that specifically does Memory Stick PRO Duo sticks, the PRO means the higher capacity.

Can't get my hp office jet pro 8500 to receive or send faxes. Husband lost the instruction manual.

Select your OJ Pro 8500 Model (A909n - basic, A909g - wireless or A909n - premium). On the next page, Select 'manuals'. From there you can access (read online or download & safe to your hard drive) all of the manuals.

Transferring photo from computer to memory stick

Many cameras will not let you write to the card. Try using a card reader, which will make the memory card appear to the computer as a separate hard drive.

Importing data from stick to computer - deleting data on stick

Yeah, all you have to do is delete all the pictures on the card. It's easiest to do on your computer, not the camera. Just put the memory stick back into your computer and find all the pictures and select and delete them. If you've already transfered them to your computer then don't worry about it. If you delete the photos off the stick, they will NOT be deleted from your computer so just go ahead and do it.
