RCA hdtv (2004) d52w20b

Hello,

I posted this a while ago, but it applies here, This is a common problem with the ITC222 chassis, I would check CP120, CP140, CP150 to see if they are bad I suspect CP150 is the one that is bad. Its value is 2200uf 16VDC. It is located on the same board as the IHVT and is in between the Heat sink in the middle of the board.

I hope this helps,

42" RCA Rear projection

Hello Coloradolacy,

This set may cost you all of $5.00 to repair.
First I want you to unplug the set and look at the board containing the IHVT (called the flyback transformer by some) in the middle of the board you will see a heat sink and in the middle of the heat sink or close by you will see CP120, CP140, and CP150 one or all of these capacitors will appear to be puffy (bloated) with the top part pushed out. Replace all of the ones that look like this (puffy or bloated) That is your problem, the value of the CP150 is 2200uf 16dcv this one is usually the problem. It will cost you about 2.50 or less at radio shack.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
