Question about Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive
It seems you've got a fake pen drive. Try
to change another one when it is still in warranty.
As to the transferred data, the corrupted or damaged files are always difficult to be recovered. But, where have you transferred the data from, your personal computer or computer drive?
You could take chances with the original computer or computer drive for rescuing your data.
You often could easily restore your needed data back from free with a data recovery freeware:
Next time, you should always check the drive well before you are attempting to transfer anything.
And, always learn to back up the things you want.

The best option is to go for a genuine Data recovery Software. I had the same problem and i fixed with the help of Data Recovery Pro .
Data Recovery Pro can recover a wide variety of file types. It has the ability to retrieve missing files from many peripheral storage devices, including your iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, and iPod Classic.
Data Recovery Pro is so sophisticated it can even recover files from freshly formatted or partitioned drives. A completely updated filter technology allows you to easily search for "lost" text, allowing you to find files by searching for just a key word or phrase.

All you need to do right now is stopping using the pen drive where you lost the files. In my opinion, you need some third-party data recovery software to help you. Do NOT try & write anything back to your pen drive until you can recover your data safely! This operation is to avoid overwriting your pen drive.
Next step is to connect your pen drive to your computer and run the data recovery software on it. In most cases, if you didn't put new files to the pen drive in which you lost data, you can get back most of your lost files, even they are months ago. If you did, the chance of recovering your lost files will reduce.
