Try this
make sure there is a 3-5 inch thread tail on the bobbin
then make sure there is a 3-5 inch on top thread, hold top thread with your fingers( away from the needle) then with your other hand turn the handwheel slowly on the right side of the machine & let the needle down into the bobbin area & see if you can pick up the bobbin thread that way

My machineis not pickingup thread underneath not sewing

Install a brand new needle and verify it is installed correctly.

If it is still not picking up the bobbin thread, then most likely the machine is out of time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

Everytime I go to sew the thread always knots up

The bobbin thread must go through the bobbin tension guide before it can be picked up to the bed of the machine by the needle thread. There must be a mistake in threading the upper thread or the bobbin thread, or both. There are lots of manuals for sewing machines online and plenty of sewers who can help you in the area where you live. It's not a big problem just go to the nearest sewing store in your area and you'll get lots of help.

Have you opened yp the bobin feed? Check to see if thread knotted underneath. This can make the needle hit the threads and niot go dep enough to latch onto the thread in order to sew.

My top thread is not picking up from the spool

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
make sure the bobbin is not warped or damaged
also make sure the bobbin case is not damaged
if these suggestion don't help then it would be a good idea to have the
machine checked at a sewing machine shop to see what is wrong with it

Hi I just purchased a Singer Heavy Duty machine from Sewing USA and my upper thread has a problem picking up the bobbin thread, it won't pick up the thread from underneath at all. Usuall it winds...

Generally, this is because the needle is either inserted incorrectly or because it's bent. Even if it doesn't look bent, it can be ever so slightly that you can't even see it with the naked eye. See if changing the needle corrects the problem, and be sure to insert the needle with the flat side of the shaft facing away from you.

Good luck, Linda!
