Mouse is frozen can't do anything

If you can still use a USB mouse then it is not frozen, all Acer units have the ability to turn off the touchpad (like most manufacters now).
Press Fn + F10 to enable/disable the touchpad, if this does not work then there may be a hardware problem.

Click Start/Control Panel andlook for the Mouse and open it to check the mouse properties. Make sureyou don't have the touchpad disabled.

Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad on or off by clicking on thebutton that is located at the top of the touch pad in the middle.

Frozen touchpad

I followed the advice of pressing the FN and F7 keys at the same time. It didn't work when the program was fully loaded, but I rebooted and tried again during the rebooting and it worked. I had the frozen cursor on the Travel Mate (Acer) also.
