Where can I get a replacement power cord for my Lexmark printer.

Hi
Looking at the setup and spec sheets, the power supply is built in therefore no separate power block (transformer) to worry about. The power cord on the set up sheet looks to be a "Figure 8". Check on the printer itself and if the socket looks like this:
25287512-zo1q1jrzrwowvvf5wmtxj1lt-1-0.jpg
then it almost certainly a standard lead that is used for many electrical appliances as well as computer peripherals, and should be obtainable at most electrical or computer shops. If you ask for a Figure 8 mains cable they should know what you mean but if have a way to take this picture with you - even better !
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

I just moved and am trying to set my computer back up but can't get my printer to work, I dont know if I somehow lost one of the cords, but I have one cord plugged in the back and it looks like there is a...

You need two cables - one for power and the other for data. The USB cable is easy to replace at most stores with computer accessories. You need a cable with A/B male ends (standard USB cable). If you need the power cable, that may be harder without contacting HP. The end of the power cable may be specific to HP.

I hope this helps.

(Even Walmart has USB cables. HP recommends using a cable that is no longer than 6'.)

HP 2600n Lost Power Cord

It is a standard printer/pc cord. Kinda looks like a D shape with the 3 terminals in it. Trust me here if you have one of these cords and it fits into the HP's power port then it is fine.

Looking for power cord and printer cable for my HP psc 1610v rabbit chewed it!!

parallel printer cable OR USB printer cable available at Office Supply store. Power supply ... is it a detachable cord like on your PC? Same place. If it is not detachable, get a original replacement from www.hp.com

Watch the rabbit with all your electric cords. By the time we found out what was going on with our rabbit, we had no table lamps and no telephone. I dont know how she stayed alive!

I need a new power cord for this printer. Where do

Take a look at the LEXMARK document: http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/1200/AMERICAS/setupsh.pdf

The power-cord is a "standard" power-cord -- nothing special.
Note the "figure-eight" plastic connector at one end.

So, look around ("thrift" stores, "dollar-or-less" stores, local electrical supply stores, and finally the "big-box" stores like BestBuy) -- it should be less than $5.

Where to buy power cord for printer

I would not chance using the other cord. You may end up needing 2 power cords or another printer.

Doing some research, your printer should be a Deskjet 5550. VCVRA 0101 is a different designation not generally used to identify printers.

If this is indeed a Deskjet 5550, a new power cord can be purchased at online stores. (HP does not sell them.)

The part number you need (if in the US) is 0950-4081. An optional cord would be 0950-4082. Here is one such online store that has them:

http://store.l-f-l.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?pg=prod&ref=0950-4081

You can probably find others using google. Just do a search for HP 0950-4081.

Thanks for using Fixya.

(If not in the US, let me know. It would be a different power cord.)

Lost cord

hi,

you can try looking at thrift stores, usually they have a "cord wall" or cord bin, that lexmark I believe has the power supply that kind of fits into the back of the printer so it should be easy to spot, but when you look at the power suppliy make sure it says lexmark on it before you buy it,
just an idea

Power cords

Is it too late?

From the HP support:

Power specifications
. Power consumption: 50W maximum
. Source (Input) Voltage: 100 to 240 VAC*, grounded
. Input Frequency: 50 to 60 Hz
. Current: 1A maximum
* Figures are based on using the AC adapter that came with your unit (HP part number 0950-2880)
Don't know if you can get an adapter, but at least you have a part #.
