Nothing happened the LED light isn't even coming on.

The power button on the front of the tv, that board is cracked only where the power button is.

It looks like it cracked thru the brass or copper strip separating power from other controls.

You can repair that by soldering a piece of insulated wire to jump across the break.

I have a Mitsubishi VS-45605 projection TV and a Philips DVD player model DVP3962/37. Can anyone help me figure out how to program the remote to control the DVD player? I only have the original remote for...

I've got the same tv and...I've still got the manual!;-)

Programming the Remote to control other audio and video products:
  1. Move the slide switch at the top of the remote to select the a/v product you want to control (in this case, DVD).
  2. Press and hold the Power button so that it stays down when you enter the code.
  3. Enter the code for the equipment. Release the Power button
  4. Point the remote at the equipment and press the Power button. If the equipment respondes, you're done. If not, and you have more codes that apply to that equipment, go back the step 2 and try the next number.
If none of the numbers work, I'm afraid you might be out of luck.

Tv not coming on

try removing batteries from all remotes, a faulty remote may be turning your TV on/off. If it still does this, there is a power problem and you likely need a tech to look at it.

Mitsubishi VS50605 rear projection TV won't come on

The power supply caps in the light engine power supply were faulty when they were installed. You need to remove the power supply and take it to your local electronics shop where they can remove the (7) faulty 1000uf 16v electrolytic capacitors and insert new ones. If you remove the power supply yourself (takes only a philips screwdriver) and reinstall it yourself, the electronics shop shouldn't charge you for more than an hour worth of time. The caps would be about $10.

Here's a photograph (thanks Don Crawford).

Sometimes resetting the microprocessor circuit is all it takes to fix a set. A shock, power fluctuation or something in the timing of the control circuit may have caused a momentary glitch in the television and resetting it fixed the set. Keep an eye on it and if there is another problem with it, reply here and we will try to work it out.
