Avic-d3 to steering wheel controls

Installing the avic-d3 into my 2008 xB. Can't find anyway to connect my steering wheel controls into it. Are we overlooking something? Also, how do I make it so that I can use the NAV while driving?

You need an interface, which then plugs into the back of the avic-d3...

you might get charged up the *** to install it, i recommend if you have any friends who know how to install to help u out... havent even got around to installing mine yet cuz installers were telling me it would be 'custom job' cuz they haven't installed it before, and then you get the hourly rate n they can basically rape u if they want to..

cheers!

2005 Equinox has vibration through the steering wheel at 65 miles per hour.

check condition of front tire, also the balance of the fronts 65 is a common speed for tire vibration. do not overlook steering play(tie rods, ball joints) also bent wheel. any noise? could have wheel bearing issue. lots of places, like vip, pepboys, etc. will check front end for free hopeing to sell you a part. not bad deal because you do need "something" even if it is tires balanced.

There are a few aftermarket manufacturers that sell "adapters".... Check your local big box store, such as Best Buy, they usually sell and can install the adapter.

CTS in dash navigation system

There is a company called PAC that specializes in modules like you describe - keeping the steering wheel controls functional with an aftermarket radio.

Click HERE to visit their site. You have to choose a compatible manufacturer. Basically - it is turning the steering wheel controls into a "remote" hidden in the dash.

CLICK HERE for the PAC installation guide for the 2006 CTS

For best results and compatibility, look for a shop in your area that carries PAC - it is a common manufacturer in the BIZ, and have them install it.

The simple answer to your question is YES as long as you use the module compatible for the brand of radio you are installing.
