Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
If lens are OK, then the problem is either lens, or the control that regulates the power of the laser beam. In practice the problem is the same control that in other laser devices can be regulated by operating a potentiometer. In the PS3 you have to replace the whole drive.
Give a call to Sony and ask a quote to fix the PS. That is the best thing to do. Sony often offers low repair charge if problem is not due to misuse, but to a console defect.
