What is the comparison of heating 1500 cu. ft. to 1000 sq. ft.?

a cubic foot is a 12inch by 12inch square by 12inch depth its like stacking 1500 little sq. boxes in a room or two.a 12ft by12ft room with 8ft walls would hold 1152 cubic feet or little in comparison 1500cu ft is little more than one room,1000sqft is a small house.

How do I get wood stov in the Chimney?

With a wood stove or vent type chimney it is easy, just take a section of chimney out and insert the heater. With a brick chimney you may have room to put the heater in from inside the house. If not, lower the heater down the chimney. Chimney Heat Exchanger
Hi. I also have the toyo stove and that combined with one of these Heat exchangers will heat a 2000 sq/ft House to the point that you have to open the windows in winter.

I got mine at but I am sure there are of lots of places that have them.

I have a williams thermostart . It was off yesterday . today when i tried to start its not getting started . Can you please let me know how i can start it manually using ignition . its pretty cold today

Couple of quick questions: Is the pilot lit and the Control Knob turned to the ON position?
If not, turn it to the ON position.

Has the thermostat been set higher than the ambient room temperature?
If not, set the temperature at least 10 degrees higher than the ambient room temp and see it the burner lights?

Have you checked the outside vent, to make sure it's unobstructed?

If all above the above fails to provide a yes answer, then I suspect that the Thermopile has gone bad. The Thermopile generates milli-volts of electricity that opens the gas valve when your thermostat calls for heat. The heat from the pilot flame against the Thermoplie is what generates the milli-volts of electricity.

They are not difficult to replace and only requires a screw driver and an appropriately sized open end wrench to accomplish the task. You can probably order the part directly from Williams. Also, if you have misplaced your Owners Manual, ask them for one of those too. It will be of help to you now and in the future.

Hope this helps solve your problem.

My unit was installed in 1996 and has been flawless ever since. the unit is not not putting out enough heat as of late and the 300 sq/ft area is on the verge of freezing up. I have the thermostat set at...

Whats the main flame like...strong or just weak? check the shut off valve and see if there might be another one around too. Probably a dirty clogged orfice or something blocking the gas from full open. maybe the main valve is going bad...try a few light taps and see if any changes. hows the wall thermostat? old? try bypassing that and see but i doubt it has anything to do but ya never know. good luck

Okay my grandma has Toyostove laser 73, its located in her livingroom. She keeps the livingroom entirely shut off from the rest of the house its a medium size house she used over a 100 gallons of oil for...

Your grandma may have the room sensor low on the wall. Trying to heat the last foot or so of the room may not be necessary. Even here in Alaska with a 1000 sq ft house I only use 2.1 gallons a day. 100 gallons a month is about 3 gallons a day, that sounds like a lot. Older folks sometimes like it hotter than most. 70 degrees is hot, anything above that will use a lot of fuel.

How many sq feet will a 41 model heat?

It all depends on how well your house is insulated. A Monitor 41 has the same output rating as a Monitor 2400. It should heat around 2000 sq. ft.

Electric baseboard heaters

measure the room, then multiply the length by the width to get the square feet you want to heat. multiply this by 10 and that is the watts you need to heat the room assuming you are using standard 220/240v baseboards.

figure out your square foot requirements - multiply 16 X 20 to get 320 sq ft. Find a heat formula to consider windows and doors and known insulation in the walls. this will give you BTu output required to raise the inside air from 68 degrees (norm) to 72 degrees.
