Hi a few things come to mind when you say that it just crashed was there a blue screen when the writing came on c:\windows........ can you tell me if the pc was over heating at the time it did this?
when a pc just stops dead (frooze up) like that it could very well be a high sys fault in the programming which is most likely caused by a virus that has attacked the main windows program causing the pc to crash. this will require a full reprogramming of the pc to fix the problem this is the only way (sorry)
if the pc was over heating the cpu may have been cooked
eg the heat paste on the cpu could have dried up and over heated the cpu how to test this is when you switch your pc on wait 30 sec and if the laptop blows warm air out then most likely the cpu has over heated this can be fixed by applying more paste to the cpu if you have not tried running it for a long time to fix it .
there is also another fix to reboot your pc .this is a program called micro scop boot repair this program will reboot your pc from the dos at the start of your windows program load this on to a cd place in your cd drive before you start the pc . first you must download from the internet this program then burn it to a cd ok .
this program finds and repairs the problem in you boot sys folders to start windows it is a very good program to have .
please try these things out and then let me know if this has fix your problems for you
all the best to you all
thank you acemasters

What is parsing the package? I cant install mobogenie.

"Parsing the package" means decoding that part of the software installation file. Either it is in a file format your operating system doesn't understand, or the file is corrupted.

In general, parsing means picking apart a piece of verbal or data communication to derive its meaning. Example usage: "Parsing legislation written by lawyers is often difficult."

How to do Fast and unattended setup of OS

Here I have an Idea for primary setup of a large lab quickly. Suppose you have to setup a lab where have more than twenty or thirty system but must setup it quickly. At that time if you don't have enough CD Rom drive or not enough OS installer CD then the task will take a long time. To save time at the same moment I like to prepare an unattendent operating system installation. Before this task I must check for presence of some requirement. Verify for unattended Installation: To perform an unattended installation from a CD-ROM, the following conditions must be met:The computer must support booting from a CD Rom The unattended answer file must be renamed to Winnt.sif and copied to a floppy disk so Setup can access it. So must need a floppy disk drive. The answer file must contain a valid [Data] section. This is explained later in this article. Before installation it has some conditions:

1> the installation is limited to a single partition.

2> you cannot specify third-party drivers during Setup Prepare For an Unattended Installation:

To prepare your computer for an unattended installation from a CD-ROM, I've followed these stepsFirst I've created a Folder in local drive & shared it. Then I create setup manager.I install Setup Manager by following these steps:I Open My Computer, and then open the SupportTools folder on the Windows XP CD-ROM.Double-click the DEPLOY.CAB file to open it On the Edit menu, click Select All.On the Edit menu, click Copy to Folder.Click Make New Folder. Type the name that you want for the Setup Manager folder, and then press ENTER. For example, type setup manager, and then press ENTER.Click Copy. Open the new folder that you created, and then double-click the setupmgr.exe file. The Windows

Setup Manager Wizard starts: alokerdas_2.jpg

Then I Use Setup Manager to Create an Answer File.
I open the setup manager & go to create a new answer file.
Then I go to the unattended installation & windows version option.
I have selected the fully automated option & create an answer file.

alokerdas_3.jpg

If you want Windows Setup to delete all partitions on the hard disk and to create a new partition, you must include the Repartition command in the Winnt.sif file. Under [Unattended], insert a new line, and then type "Repartition=Yes"
If you omit this line, you are prompted for the installation partition.

Add a [Data] section with the following entries to the unattended answer file:
Unattended Install=Yes - Value must be set to "yes"
MSDos Initiated=No - Value must be set to "no" or Setup stops during the graphical portion of Setup

Auto Partition=1 - If the value is set to 1, the installation partition is automatically selected. If the value is set to 0 (zero) you are prompted for the installation partition during the text portion of Setup.
Save the unattended answer file as Winnt.sif on a floppy disk.
Insert the Windows CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, and then insert the floppy disk into the floppy disk drive.
Change the boot order in the CMOS so that the CD-ROM is first in the list.
Restart your computer. When Setup is started from the CD-ROM, the Winnt.sif file located on the floppy disk will be used to complete the unattended installation.

Since the drive crashed in the middle of a data transfer it probably has a damaged directory. Try connecting the drive to your Mac and run DiskWarrior on the drive to repair the directory and allow the drive to mount.

C:\Windows\Panter\unattend.xml file is corrupted

Why are you worried about this? You are getting a warning that the hard drive is about to die. In your place, I would copy any data I wanted to keep to the desktop and then replace the hard drive.
You can then image the original drive to the new one and try the restore again.
The Panther\unattend.xml file is created and Windows uses it during the restore process in order to know what to do, copying it from another computer (if you can find one) would probably totally mess up the installation. The reason it cannot be parsed is probably because it was created on a section of the hard drive that has already failed - remember, your hard drive is dying.

Startup repair failed. cant get to startup screen

did you back-up your important files?, if you did, then you need to reformat your hard disk drive (hdd) and reinstall new system.  but if you didn't backup your important files, ask for help at the service center near you, cause it need another hdd to backup some files.  then if you have nothing to lose on your hdd then go ahead to reformatting. sometimes that error occur when it didn't undergo proper shutdown
