Yes it is repairable by competent electronic technician.

The problem MAY be very simple or hard to locate. It may be a poor solder joint. Check if vibration of the unit causes the noise.

Audio Output signals distorted

Without knowing what make and model of whatever you're asking about we can't be specific.
But if all outputs are distorting. Either the preamp is driving the amp too hard, or the amp is fried and needs repair/replacement.

Left speaker not working, system crackles if left side is active, alright when left side shut down.

Get a meter and check the resistance on the speaker. Looks like a speaker may be blown but with the description of the crackle noise from the slide controls you might have a bad pot in the unit or the pot has come loose from the board. This could explain why the speaker blew out

If it is making noise as you describe with nothing plugged into the channel and without moving the controls, it needs to go to the shop. You should contact Peavey to discuss the problem. Here is a link to their support page-

Does using subs also help increase volume (as well as bass) - and crackles question?

There are several issues here... You can connect subs in parallel BUT they need to have a crossover built it otherwise you are sending highs and mids to the subs which won't like it. Properly set up, there should be NO crackling on either channel.
Make sure that no clipping is going on, including in the effects. A set of headphones is a GOOD idea when analyzing problems. Twelve inch speakers are pretty marginal for 300 watts... I have used 15's and 10;s on my PMP3000 and PMP5000 units with no problem at REASONABLE sound levels. With 15's we can run at 95 Db which is OSHA limits... My PMP's were beyond repair units and I have repaired them... got a good deal on them. PLEASE read my tip on here about channel A of the PMP mixers. IF you use Speakon to 1/4 inch speaker cables, THE sleeve of Channel A is the "hot", not the tip of the plug. It is easy to get this grounded and kill channel A of your amp. There is NO mention of this in the user documents and I discovered it when repairing the units. Should you get a failure that pops the fuse, DO NOT replace the fuse until the internal damage is repaired. A lot of craclking can come from blown speakers. Swap your sides and make sure the problem is not with a particular speaker. I had a Peavey that was crackling and found the noise was the logo on the grille that was rattling...

Mixer is introducing crackling sound intermittently to the process

Isolate one channel at a time to see if a particular channel is the problem. Make sure ALL interconnected equipment is powered from the SAME receptacle or power conditioner. A remote amplifier MUST be powered from the same source as the mixer, even if it requires a separate run to power it. Make sure all cables are BALANCED, either XLR or TRS cables. Sometimes a cable can have a broken wire or shield and cause this.

Sound comes and goes on the drive channel, and there is a strange crackling on the clean channel. i dont know if its the tubes, the speaker, or electronics.

Using a common lead pencil, gently tap on the smaller tubes in the unit, listening for noises and crackling to change and the drive channel changes.

It is normal to get a slight twang when doing this from the microphonics of the tubes, however, the crackling and up and down volume points to a bad tube.

Marshall MG50 DFX, the volume knob OD channel crackles

Either the control is damaged (happens if they get hit) or it is possible the circuit board it is mounted on has broken solder OR worse, a crack near the control. The unit will require servicing. Parts are readily available.
