CANNOT HEAR PERSON MAKING CALL. WORKS FINE ON SPEAKER.
WHAT TO DO?

Sometimes when I receive a call the speaker works fine, other times it has no sound. I haven't tried speaker phone to see if that solves it when it isn't working, but speaker phone works all the time so it may be a temporary work around. I've used *228 to make sure the phone is updated and programmed, that didn't help.

It could be loose wires or faulty speaker. Bring it into a dealer to get it checked out or do it yourself if you feel able to

This is a simple fix - your inner earphone is busted either due to loud music or water damage - the repair is about $25+shipping if its just the speaker

Check the middle button on the side. Hold it in and raise the earpiece volume to the highest before you throw the phone away.
