Changed the batteries in timer/thermostat but the boiler is still not talking to the transmitter heating still on can you help??

Is this a wireless system, meaning no wires between the thermostat and the boiler? If so, check to see if the code buttons have been reset. If this is a hardwire system, the relay on your control board may be stuck. In any case, you can always shut off the boiler by turning off the gas and/or circuit breakers.

My robertshaw 9620 thermostat is stuck on 70 and i can not change setting frim temp or time.

Here's how I fixed my Robertshaw thermostat that was stuck at a 70 degree reading for almost 2 monthes. When I turned on the air conditioner or heater it wouldn't stay on. I removed the cover panel and dusted off the inside which the guy at local hardware store suggested. That didn't work. Then I noticed the words "reset" right on the green circuit board on the left side. There's a very small silver button. I pressed on it and everything reset. Less than a minute later the thermostat is reading the correct room temperature. Now my air conditioner and heater are working properly.

Bosch shu3036uc gets stuck during cycles.

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description " bosch shu3036uc gets stuck during cycles

I suspect the thermostat isn't satisfied when heating the water, hence it get`s hung up trying to heat in the part`s of the cycle it`s called for.

It very well could be caused by a faulty flow switch, NTC or heater as well but not very likely.

The dishwashers made by Bosch with a rotary dial timer have very few if any, issues with the actual timer or element but they do with the thermostat within the door panel.

If it ( the thermostat ) is not satisfied the water may heat but not be indicated via the thermostat, hence timer will not advance.

Here`s what you can try. If you have any hesitation or reluctance to service this yourself please call in an authorized B/S/H/ ( Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau ) appliance technician.

**Turn off the breaker at the service panel before attempting any service suggested **

  1. You will require a #20 torx screwdriver to remove the door panel by taking out the screws around the panel, except the ones along the top ( watch the edges they are very sharp )

  2. Once the panel is removed you should see the thermostat over by the detergent dispenser clipped to the inner door, remove it and test it. You`ll need a ohm meter/multi-meter plus a lighter or match to heat it up to see if it open`s & closes.

**NOTE** it can occur the thermostat can become loose and detach from the bracket which holds it in place, this too can manifest in the sysmptom of the timer not advancing.

Let me know how you make out and what you find.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and Good luck.

I keep my thermostat set on 78 degrees but occasionally it will reset its self to 85*.It is set to a max of 80* and the temp does not go higher than that, however one time it switched its self from cool to...

theirs a few things that will cause this 1 loss of power and dead batteries 2 you have a defective thermostat and need to replace it some guys will put the thermostat in and not hook up the common wire cause it is not needed if it has batteries the downfall is you go thru batteries faster and have nothing for back up make sure common is hooked up and put fresh batteries in if the problem still occurs the thermostat is bad

The heat never cuts off. already changed the battery but it just keeps running. do i need a new thermostat?

Try disconnecting the W wire and see if the heat continues to run. If your unit has electric heaters, and the heat continues with the W or W2 wire disconnected from the stat, it may very likely be stuck heating relay/sequencer.
If the heat does shut off after disconnecting this wire, then the problem has something to do with the thermostat. Replacing the battery was a smart. You can also check to see if your thermostat has a reset button or a fuse.

My van only blows heat while parked and goes cold while driving, can you tell me what's wrong?

sounds like a stuck thermostat, you see, when the vehicle is sitting there isn't as much airflow over the radiator, with the thermostat stuck in the open position the water / coolant in the engine doesn't have time to absorb much heat from the engine, but because of the lessened airflow it will get warm enough to feel. while in motion the constantly moving coolant is being constanly cooled by the radiator, fan and increased airflow.

my suggestion is to change the thermostat.

Good evening i live in a complex and i just noticed that my thermostat went blanked what should i do

The thermostat probably runs on batteries and the are dean the front of the thermostat comes off and the batteries are inside or it has a flap to the left that opens where the batteries are located. try changing them or call the maintenace guy for the complex you live at.

No heat...Needed new battery

Well #1 with the gauge going to hot and no heat,10 to 1 it's a bad thermostat, stuck in the closed position. If you drove it like that for any length of time, with it hot, other things can get damaged.Change the thermostat, then have the alternator checked to see if it's charging. The meter should read 13 to 14 volts or more.
