GE 6OGW947 60 in Rear Projection T.V.

Before I had cable I never experienced any picture problems. But about 3 months ago we had basic cable installed and everything was working fine, until 2 or 3 weeks ago we had a big electrical storm and my picture has been freezing and breaking up along with the sound going in and out. Local channels seemed to work fine but cable channels are freezing up. I called the cable company because I thought it was a problem with my cable box, but they informed me it was my t.v. I have 2 other t.v.'s with cable running through them and they do not seem to have any problems. My 60 in is the one where the main box runs through. Any solution you could help me with would be greatly appreciated.
