Kenmore Front Load Washer 417.44152400 lights up, no activity

Sears repairman said it was the door lock. I replaced door lock and the unit now lights up on the control panel with the exception of the door lock. I can't seem to make the lights go off, even if I unplug it, the lights will come on in the same manner when replugged. I have 5 kids, really need my washer!!! Sears was suppossed to replace the door lock themselves today but rescheduled us for the second time.. HELPPPP!!!

Find the button on your panel with a 'key' symbol. Press & hold this down till the lock light goes off. Or

Hold down the 'options' & 'select' buttons together till the lock light goes off. Or
Press and hold down "end of cycle"
Pl. rate & tell me what did it - it is important.

That was actually the problem with the lights, but not with the washer (I inadvertantly locked it and didn't realize it). Washer still continues to not work. Will click on the door light and other lights, "act" as if it is going to start and then "unclick" the door lock and shut off. Sears repairman came out after 2 hrs on the phone, the next day, after 3rd reschedule. They say now it wasn't the door lock but the control panel.... Ordering through a local vendor who seems tremendously more helpful than Sears, who sold me the washer in the first place. Wish I would have done this first, 3 wks without a washer.

THank you very much for the code to unlock my washer! :O)

Well, I've replaced the control panel purchased through a local vendor. That was really easy. AND found that the Sears repair service didn't re-attach the bladder correctly and re-attached the tube from the pressure switch to the wrong side of the air bell. I had gallons of water leaking all over my floor. Sears told me that they can't make it out until next week to fix a problem they created. I never had a leak before this...

So I fixed the leak on my own and re-attached the tube correctly and the unit STILL doesn't work. The error code is E13, which states it is a leak from the tub of the washer or a leak from the air bell. And there isn't a leak I can find, so it says to replace the pressure switch. Interestingly, it says to replace the pressure switch BEFORE replacing the control panel for this problem, but who am I to judge???

I've found this part (#13441101) will take a week for most of the online vendors and the local companies about the same. Yippee. If anyone has any suggestions about where else I should look for a leak or if you happen to have this part just LAYING around and might be able to get it to me fast, I'd sure appreciate it!

    Thanks

I have the similar problem with my sears front loading washer. originally it would not perform the cleaning cycle (should have left that alone) sears came and told me it was the mother board. the machine is 13 months old. that was bad enough. sears came again to replace the mother board and now its the door lock. before at least i could do wash, now its inoperable. another week til that part comes in that was operating 5 minutes before he arrived. i don't think they know what they are doing. complaining to sears if i can ever get a person.

Kenmore elite he washer lock light. cannot open

Hi,

You can manually Unlock the door Lock System

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Remove the lower kick panel.
3. Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch/lock unit.
4. Located on the bottom of the door switch/lock unit is a tear-drop shaped tab.
5. Gently pull the tab down about a ¼" or until a click is heard.
6. The door may be opened.

Thank you !!

Kenmore Elite HE3 front loader F-11 and FDL codes

yes!! the F/11 is triggered under high voltage conditions like high speed spinning. The part is called the MCU motor control unit. if it goes into failure while using your machine and locks the door, just wait 3 minutes and the door will unlock after the MCU resets. Try using you machine with a low speed spin for awhile.

HE2 front loadable washer doesn't move fm wash to rinse to drain

Sounds like the door lock. It will not advance to spin if it thinks the door is open. There is a instruction sheet inside the unit behind the lower panel. That will give the error codes for the flashing lights.

F dL code message

Hi, this is a failed door lock alert. the FdL code represents this malfunction in the door lock mechanism. the unit will not operate if the door lock cant engage the latch. replace the door lock mechanism asap. this will fix the issue.

Kenmore front load washer

If that machine was so easily damaged (the electronics in particular) it is a sorry design.  About the only thing I would suggest is to actually pull the AC plug and ignore it over night.  Whatever safety 'feature' caused the door to lock, may reset itself if given enough time.
And yes, Sears service is not as wonderful as they claim.
