Question about Heating & Cooling
The thermocouple screws into the thermostat unit and the other end is fastened by a small clamp right by the pilot flame. Make sure the unit is off and the gas supply is shut before working on the unit. Loosen the fastening screw inside the unit, unscrew thermocouple from thermostat unit and remove it. The only times you remove the burner, is when the fastening screw gets stripped or is too hard to turn.
