I have used a tripod as a steady cam by just extending the legs straight down, but using it like a pendulam. Works ok.

Does you f 150 have electronic throttle control ? An does it have Variable Cam Timing (VCT) - if it does have Variable Cam Timing (VCT) it doesn't have an EGR valve ! What type scan tool did you use to pull the code with ? My FORD factory service information does not show that code for A 2004 F - 150 5.4 L 3 valve engine !

I drive a chevrolet aveo 2005 model hatchback. The problem with the car is the revs are not steady and the will not hold. It switches off everytime breaks are applied and it burns fuel really fast.

What does a P0316 mean on Ford freestar

P0316 means misfire on the first 1,000 revolution, this is not a random misfire,or a steady misfire, it just means it there Ford has recently moved the misfire from 14000. to 1,000. It can mean the crank and cam synchonizer, a worn COP (coil on plug) COP would give a steady and exact misfire. the cranksensor itself or the harness.

Can a faulty cam position sensor cause a car to not fire when it warms up

No. A bad cam sensor usually causes a long crank before firing and a check engine light on steady with a code 41.

Random misfire on all cyliner a po300 code pops up in the scanner...

It sounds like the coil is breaking down or the cam sensor may be at fault for the misfiring. Use an inline tester and connect from the coil tower to the spark plug wire to check for a good steady fire. Do this on all coil wires to spark plugs. The best time to do this is at night so you can see it fire. You may want to remove the spark plugs and inspect them for a fouling condition. If all is well then look at the cam sensor for the problem. Hope this will help you.

Yes this could be caused by the Nissan NATS system. Your keys may need to be initilized for the car. Is the SECURITY light on steady, or is it flashing?? Check it. If its steady, than the NATS locked you out and you will not start the car. If its flashing, than NATS should be all set and the car should start. MAke sure, that you are using initilized keys.
