Question about Dryers

1 Answer

Hello, I have an LG DLE0442W electric dryer. It is about 2 years old. It started to take a long time to dry so I checked the venting and it seems fine. I also checked the breaker and it had not tripped. All I get is the tub spinning and no heat whatsoever. Can someone please give me some advice on how to fix the problem? Thanks, Mrs. Noble

Hello Mrs. Noble- I would ask if you have gone to the outside of the house and felt the air flow out of the dryer vent where it exits the exterior wall, if you have, and it is blowing strong then you may have a problem with a thermostat or thermal fuse. You should probably have an LG Tech out to diagnose the issue if the venting is not an issue. Good luck and best regards.

Check the exhaust vent behind the dryer to make sure it's not kinked.
Take off the dryer vent and run the unit to see if it will dry normally. If it does, you still have a blockage in your exhaust vent in the wall.
