Question about eMachines T5048 PC Desktop
As a general rule, when you're in the booting up phase right after the power button is pushed, you'd push the F2 key quickly and repeatedly intul you saw what's called your BIOS Settup. SOmetimes it's the Escape key or even the F10 11 or 12 key.
Using one of those, once you see the BIOS you'll be in an area where the mouse doesn't get used any more. You navigate around with the arrow keys. You want to find the BOOT ORDER selction by searching among the tabs you see, scroll to it using the arrow keys and when it's highlighted follow instructions on how to enter the BOOT ORDER.
Then, following instructions you'll see, change the BOOT ORDER to start with the CD?DVD and follow directions on how to Save and Exit.
Once you exit the BIOS your computer will boot normally and you should let it, and insert the Recovery CD while it's on. Then, Shut Down Windows properly.
Now, press the power button and as soon as you see a message on a black screen in white letters saying, "Press any key to boot from cd", hit a key and your recovery disc will run.follow the Recovery CDs prompts and make the choices you want to restore.
After that, just follow the prompts and make the choice you want to restore the system.

Turn the computer on, install the Recovery Disk in the optical drive. Give the optical drive a few seconds to read the Recovery Disk.
If the recovery disk is not read, and does not start automatically, go to Start, My Computer, and double-click on the optical drive icon.
When the Recovery Disk starts, and comes to the question, "What do you wish to do?", click on Destructive Recovery. Also may be listed as Full Installation.
