I just inquired about how much a pawn shop would give me for a WORKING TV and it was a joke,so much that I found a needy family and gave it to them instead rather than have jerks triple their money.I do not know if a TV shop would even want to give $ for a broken TV or not but i would start there first. If they do not want it,they may have a suggestion of who might.Have you checked out repair possibilities? It sounds like 1 of 2 componenets are bad.Either the screen(less likely)or the picture emitter/projector.I am not sure of the part name as I have not worked on TV's since flat screens came out but it basically is an emitter which sends a voltage to the liquid crystal and displays on a secondary screen.I say less likely the screen because it is a completely sealed unit and if the liquid crystal were leaking,it would seem that the screen would be completely no picture by now.Good luck! Model 50LN5700. How do I repair broken screen?

You can't repair a broken screen. You must replace it.
Now, the problem is that the screen is the most expensive part of Flat Panel TV and It's not really easy to get them, specially 50" screens.
Maybe you can find some site selling it as parts
Do a google search for Parts LG TV 50" Screen
Quite probably your best solution might be selling your damagerd TV for parts on ebay or even, disember nad sell circuits boards separately.

My led samsung tv has a horizontal line and the upper right corner shows a white vertical lines

Not good. You may have a tab failure. A repair shop may be able to diagnose and repair this, but most likely the lcd panel is broken. The panel is the most expensive part of flat tv's. A new panel will cost more than a used tv.

Sell broken flat screen tv

Or strip it out and sell the internal boards. X-Sus, Y-Sus, Power Supply, Video Processor board etc. Better value as parts rather than as a TV facing a hefty bill for a broken screen.

Broken screen samsung lnt4042h

A screen is the most expensive part of any flat screen TV, or monitor.

My best advice is to take pictures, and put it up on eBay. Warranties don't cover broken screens (almost never) and the cost of getting the screen replaced comes far too close to the purchase price of a new on to justify fixing it. I hate to say it this way, but the only thing that TV is good for now, is scrap. You have several components in it though that will fetch a decent price, if you're willing to pull it apart, and package up the three boards inside. You may expect to part it out for somewhere a little over a hundred bucks, or sell intact, as it is for much less, and shipping is a lot, and I mean a whole lot more. They don't care if the screen is already broken, they still treat it as breakable, and the weight pushes shipping up too.

So, in short, open it up, pull the three boards out, and sell em. You can sell all the wires as well as a kit, (must be all wires though) for a few bucks as well. The rest? Take it to the scrap yard. And for your next tv, it's worth buying a sheet of plexiglass, and epoxying it to the front of your TV. It won't protect against it sliding of of your wall mount, but it will fend off any amount of flying Wii controllers.
