Question about Computers & Internet

While updating some word documents that have pictures recently I went to a document and found all the pictures do not show. They show when going to print preview but are blanck when back to edit the document. All word documents have this problem. Is this just in a setting that may have been mistakenly changed?

Check the settings in the "View" screen. Certain selection will not show the whole document but will print them out.
Go to full page view to see if that changes your page options.

Run Software Updates (Apple Menu in top left of screen > Software Update). There is an update that fixes the document canvas now showing anything. You can tell the document is loading because you can copy and paste form it or look in the Inspector and see the word, page, and character counts.

This is a memory problem, it clears when you switch it off because it clears the RAM. You need to add more memory, or better still buy a new Canon. :>)

1. more than likely you the picture are still there you are probably not looking in the right place on the hard drive.
2. Do a "search" under the Window XP start menu and in the "file search" window type the name of the picture file you are looking for and it should show the location on the hard drive where you photos are.

Deleting file from Excel also from recently created documents.

Hi jv_oberg,

The recent documents area of excel is just a snapshot of what it last opened, it's not really linked that document to excel. Eventually, after you open enough documents it will fall off the list. However, if it something that you would like to change, you can

  1. Click on Office button, and then click on Word Options (in Word 2007) or Excel Options (in Excel 2007) or PowerPoint Options (in PowerPoint 2007) in the bottom of Office Menu.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Display section.
  4. Set the value for Show this number of Recent Documents: to 0 (zero). no-of-recent-docs.jpg
  5. Click OK button.
  6. Repeat steps above again, and set back the value for the number of Recent Documents to show to its original default, i.e. 17. If you don’t want this particular Office 2007 application to remember any Recent Documents, you can leave the value at 0 and skip this step.

That will clear your recent documents.

Good Luck,

Mark

OK this would denote that somehow your deflection (verticle) has been switched. I would have to see what the service documentation has to say about this, if you can contact the manufacture and get the service documents I or someone else can actually help with this problem. It is actually a simple problem but the service documentation will show how to correct it properly.
