- suddenly my sound just stop working... my computer says sound card is installed properly and the sound tests past but i dont hear anything. Matter of fact, when i try to play music in WMA i get x's on the songs it trys and then it gives up... - rayhut06Jan 22, 2009
- i have had my sound on mute for a while with full knowledge that internal speakers are working well, then i tried them one day and they just wont work. all software troubleshooting said that software was working well. when external speakers are plugged in, i can hear sounds but with a very noisy background.- maiqyoingcoJan 10, 2009

I had sound for a while
windows vista (not 64)
IDT audio codec installed
I get sound from plugging in external speakers/headphones
have tried re-loading the drivers
