Check the horizontal output transistor. Its probably shorted.

My monitor (HP L1706) will not power on, NO LED indicator. After opening i found that a Capacitor ( 100uf/400v) has blown. I replaced it with 220uf/200v i was told it should work fine, but it will still...

Are you getting 160vdc voltage on that new cap?
How about the cap in the secondary DC side for the 5v and the 12vdc?
It also not good idea to double up on the capacitance since the in-rush will be higher when this cap is charged up and it can blow the main AC fuse or damage the bridge rectifiers, 10~20% higher will be OK.
When the DC filter went out, the circuits will be fed with AC and it can damage the circuits.

No power up, not power cord, properly seated good outlet. Hit power button last night to power off, wont come on today.

You will have to open the unit up and check 3 Components, The Main Fuse(located next to the 120VAC input, The Bridge Rectifier, and of course the Capacitors. If you still have a problem; Please post I.D. #'s of the power inverter online including revision data.

LG screen won't trn on. I have checkd the power source, no light showing at all on the monitor.

You need to go inside and check the main fuse, rectifiers, MOSFET, caps, etc,
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Check power supply section for bad caps first.

In lg studioworks 500g one capacitor blows off immediately after power on capacitor is 47 micro farad 160 v plss help

Before you open it test the input use analog multimeter for continuity testing,
if the pointer moves forward then turns back quickly your rectifier diode is good but the pointer is steady like this image below

Note:
Make sure this power cord connected to
your monitor before testing.
3721e99.jpg you have shorted semiconductor inside. check the thermistor, the bridge type diode & relay switch can cause of blown filter capacitor if you did not found these shorted at the primary section of power supply.

Gud luck..
