My laptop was working fine until this morning, i turned it on and it said "no audio device detected" now ive no sound on my laptop

Hi, this amy be because your audio card is loose or because your driver for the audio card is missing. so, i want you to go into device mangaer and tell me what you see under audio control or audio options.

the sound was working fine last night this morning it was gone ??

just installed "driver detective" and it seems to of fixed the problem for me !!!!!!!!!!!
my audio driver is missing and i have an ispiron 1300,
i duno how to fix it, i dont hvae the setup cd
my boyfriend told our laptop to one of his friends to clean and when we got it back the laptop has no sound
What operating system and version ? Vista/XP !!
