Dust blowing out of Hoover

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Oreck Upright 014T XL Pro 14 Upr Vac

In answer to your question, if the HEPA filter is leaking then you should replace it because it has lost it’s filtration – but my question is – is it on the Oreck, Hoover or Electrolux --- all three have HEPA filters and needs replacing and to make sure that the HEPS filter is installed correctly or other wise the filter will leak and if that happens then contact your local vac dealer in your neighborhood. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

How do I clean the solid hepa filter on the hoover WI dtunnel2

I recommend blowing it out with a air compressor, some can be washed with water but water can make the fine dust pack into the pores. If it is over a year old it should be replaced as should the other filter or filters depending on your specific model.

Electrolux Vitesse petlover 1700w loud noise

So all that is left is a blocked filter, ie paper like the ones in a car, remove- wash bash out the dust etc- I use compressed air to blow them oput backwards. If it is bagless there has to be a filter somewhere otherwise everything comes straight out.
I would also be looking at hose obstruction and leaks in the body of the system - assuming it still sucks well enough. I often remove the hose and drop a heavy steel rod or the like down to shake out the hose. I have a lot of this with saw dust on the shed cleaner.
If it were mine I would then pull it apart to look for bockages or bits caught in the fans. But do not do this if you are not confident of reconstruction safely or if there is a warranty available.

Hepa filter stopped on Hoover Windtunnel 2 Model #U8361-900

This has a simple solution IF you have a air compressor with a high pressure nozzle. Outside the house, first remove the Dust bin completely and lay the unit down with the dust bin area up. now start blowing the nozzle at the hepa filter, Alot of dust will come out. Now start to rotate the filter while blowing the dust out. The filter will move one way easier, When there is no more dust reinstall the dustbin and check the suction and the rotation of the filter.

I just bought a foldaway hoover with wide path. I plugged it in and started to vacuum and dust flew everywhere. Walmart would not give me my money back so they gave me another hoover foldaway with the wide...

Take to Walmart, plug it in and start to vacuum THEIR floors!
Try removing the dust container and look for anything blocking airflow including the HEPA filter. Make sure the dust cup has a seal where it joins the vacuum. The fix is probably simple, but it shouldn't be up to you to do so!

Filter in Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum

Definitely not. Do not use water or any liquids to clean it. Te normal use life is 2-3 years keeping it maintained. You can clean it dry with the dust brush from your vac attachments. place in a plastic bag and tap it some folks even us an air compressor to blow out the impacted dirt. you will only want to use the Hoover brand, other generic brands dont fit as well.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to clean the HEPA filter is to take it outside and use a blower over the trash can and blow off the dust and dirt, or use things like an old paint brush and brush it off, or you can vacuum it off with another canister vacuum or shop vac if you have an extra one. For the best filtration is to replace it, there fore the air flow will catch most of the dust and dirt and then you would have to watch how fast it gets dirty and then do the maintenance.

So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Just purchased vax swift 1500,appears to be blowing dust back out from bottom of filter. is there a problem.

A very nice model.

Yes I think there is a minor problem here.

As this is one of the bagless vacuums, everything goes first into the dust container, then the dusty air is progressively filtered on the way out.
If the leak is from around the Hepa filter pad, then try swapping it for a new one, If that works - take back the old filter for a refund.
Make sure it seals well.
If dust is blowing out in a large quantity from below the main collection tank - there is probably a rubber seal missing.
Take this up with your retailer.

If you are not saisfied - get a full refund. You ARE entitled to it if the product is "not of merchantable quality".
Worryingly I have seen disclaimers saying - "no returns if item is used" This is illegal. How can you tell if it works without using it?

Best of luck.

Hoover Z-400 - Hepa Filter

These filters should be changed at least once a year, they get clogged up and won't clean out. So I would try a new filter and go from there, make sure there are no clogs in the hose and down below where the dirt inlet is.
