I cant get dailup do i need external or internal modem

Either will work. If you aren't permitted under the context of warranty to open up the computer you will need to get an external one.

When i try to connect to the internet on dailup it tells me that it doesn't not have a dail tone and i have checked my phone line and it is working fine.

More than likely, the dial tone circuit of the modem has failed (It is the most sensitive circuit of the modem) and the modem will need to be replaced.
The good part is most modems are less than $20

I have a DSL502T ADSL Router, and have bought a new emachines computer. I can not connect to the internet. The computer has a wireless connection loaded but I want to connect by dailup Please could you help...

You are a bit confused with the various components required for Internet connections.
If you have a dial-up connection with an Internet Service Provider, all you do is connect your computer's modem port to the phone line and dial the phone number of your Internet Service provider.
If you are connected to the Internet Servise Provider by ADSL and have a combined ADSL router and modem then you connect the phone line to this router/modem. If the ADSL modem is separate component then the phone line is connected to the ADSL modem and this modem is connected to the router with a LAN cable and the computer is connected to the router with another LAN cable. If the route is wireless and the computer has a wireless card then you don't need a LAN cable between the router and the computer.
If you are connected to the Internet by ADSL, to secure your Internet connection and configure your computer so it can connect to the Internet, please follow my instruction - click on this link :-

Slow to get on line some times it will try to go to two internet explorer sights at the same tim

What type of internet connection are you using?
Dailup, DSL, Cable, Sat?
When was the last time you defraged?
When was the last time you ran a complete virus scan?
What virus/malware/adware scanner softer do you currently use?

I would suggest you also download a program called CCleaner(google it, its free) and run the file cleaner and registry cleaner option within that program.

Please provide more information as to what exactly happens before, during and after said issue. Also, please furthermore specify the issue.

Without an adaquate question, you cannot receive an in-depth answer.
Thank you.

Maxtor one touch 4 mini- not connected! The single USB cable is in the Computer USB port.So far so good. When the second USB connector-with 2 cables is inserted to another Computer’s USB Port I start...

Quite strange.. I would suggest that maybe one of the usb ports is faulty.. Or ofcourse, one of the cables.. Or the usb port has been mis-wired inside the pc. That has been done before. Anyway, do you have access to 2 usb drives.. I mean micro/thumb drives? I'd test each port by itself first, to see if they operate correctly, then if they do, use the two usb drives in the two usb ports at the same time, to test read & write.. I guess there are other things you could try, like going to control panel, system, hardware, device manager & checking on the status of the usb ports. That may tell you something worthwhile. Whatever you do, test each port with the one single cable. Yer, this is a strange fault. Let me know how you go. Rgds,

Help

sometimes the usb ports are not set to auto connect so you have to find them manually.. if you goto start then to my computer you will see all your ports and find the one that you are trying to use then right click on it and make sure the settings are set to run a disk once it's inserted..

you can also goto start then run, if using xp, and browse for that usb port that way too.. let me know if this helps at all, if not, i can try something else.. you can do a repair on your ports too but let's see if this helps.. good luck..d
