Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t 14.1" Notebook Laptop PC (Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, D... PC Notebook
Laptop has been working fine until this morning when I switch it on... it loads up fine but then when it comes to the main windows wallpaper etc it is all black and the Documents folder is open.
The windows start button/task bar is not there, I am not able to right click on the background... but I am able to go through to all the sub menus (Control Panel etc) Everything works fine, like the internet and other programs. I have tried to uninstall all unwanted programs, I have done a system repair by pressing F10 when the system loads but that performed a System Restore. I tried System Restore to an even earlier point but still does not work. When I go into Control Panel, I go into Appearance and Personalization I can get into all the submenus but I am unable to go into Taskbar and Start Menu
Operating System: Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium
