I have a LG FLATRON w1934S, when I make the change from my lap top to the LG screen the icons and everything else are big, how can I change the size?

I would suspect a problem in the monitor power supply, either a fuse or possible bad filter caps especially if you had to turn it on several times to get it on just before it failed.

That have not simple solution better take it to a tv repair shop, you already disconnect the data cable and discard the possibility of computer problem.
The Monitor must have in the menu a reset configuration option but I doubt it will help, its time to get it to a repair shop.

Your LG flatron resolution is 1366x768.. just change the settings on display properties at 1366x768, if there no available resolution, uninstall your display driver and reinstall your video driver, the process of driver installation detect your monitor resolution automatic <_>

howevr, if u want to configure using win xp/vista..right click on ur desktop->properties->settings->increase the 'screen resolution' to minimum: 640x350 or standard: 1152x864 or maximum: 1280x1024 @ 75Hz..

You could have a faulty inverter board or a faulty CCFL lamp. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp and the CCFL lamp is a mini fluro tube.

clean the graphics card first

Take a clean cloth and spray some windex on the cloth and then wipe down the screen and it should come nice and clean. Never spray it directly on the screen cause if the liquid goes down inside of the screen then it could damage it.
