Help with vpi vci - Belkin COMPONENTS WIRELESS ROUTER N+ 4Port

The VPI and VCI settings are made in the DSL modem, NOT the Linksys router.

Your Provider modem provides this info.

VPI and VCI codes are for broadband ADSL connections check this page out to see the numbers you need to set up, you also have to configure the encapsulation type according to your country's service, the encapsulation type is usually in the same settings page where the VCI and VPI settings are.

For Most of the Internet Connections the VPI is 8 & VCI is 38. But it Depends on your internet Service Providers...

usually vpi is 0 and vci is 32 try this number for your broadband connection work for me i hope this numbers work for you also

These are the setting's that you will get from your internet service provider(ISP).
ZyXEL Modem's default value for VPI =0 and for VCI=35.

You are suggested to check the "VPI" & "VCI" values which are usually 0 of VPI and 103 for VCI.. if these values wont then you may make a phone call to the services center of your connection and ask them to tell the setting and VPI and VCI numbers.

You need to manually configure the router.

Connect a computer directly to the router using ethernet cable and access the router page using address http://192.68.1.1

Username = admin and password = password

Click on ADSL settings in the left hand side menu. Enter the requred infor VPI= 0 VCI =101. Select the required multipexing mode.

Does Big Pond and your new ISP dodo use the same values for VPI/VCI?

If not, you need the correct VPI/VCI for your new ISP.

Read the FAQ at DSL Reports on the 5260 and changing the VPI/VCI using EnterNet 300 1.5b or EnterNet 300 1.5c.
