Hi. Dunno if Im using the right thing here to reply to youre help which is really appreciated, but Ive managed to sort the problem.

So for any other users of this notebook here is the fix.

On the back of the laptop, right at the back of the cd tray there is a small philips head screw.

Undo this and the cd tray will now be able to be removed.

Under the cd tray there is a small bay where the hard drive locates.

Simple..problem solved...lol.. Figured it out after posting, so kind regards to people who have looked and to Vistapro for his advice.

    Many thanks

    Jason

Do you have a picture of the bottom of the laptop? if this dosen't help, can you post a picture? personally i don't have a lifebook and i really only know how to replace it if i can see it. i know with my toshiba satellite l10, on the bottom there is a symbol of a laptop, on the bay of the hard drive casing. if you undo the screw on the bottom of this bay, yo will be able to see the hard drive, in most cases 150mm x 100mm x 10mm and silver and compact. i you slide this out and put the matching hard drive in, and match up the pins, carefull not to break or bend any.
Hope this helped,
Regards,
Vistapro

Sound like the hard drive is gone my Friend. Going to have to get it replaced. The best thing I can tell you is get another PC or laptop install Linux maybe Unbuntu or one of those flavors. Use the hard drive retrieval method and moves as much UN-corrupted data as possible...when you do that let me know and I tell you how to take out your hard drive. And replace it ...if you don't know how to do the retrieval please email me at d1r7yp4w5@gmail.com and I tell you step by step. Through email...goodluck

Need an owners manual for fujitsu lifebook s6000 notebook

Hi,

Here's a link where you can download the manual for your Lifebook. Though you need to specify the exact model. (ex: S6110, S6120 etc)

http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/support.do?srch=GUIDES

Select "Notebook PC" under the 'product', "S series" under the 'series' and the exact model of your Lifebook under the 'model' box.

Hope this helps.

It cant find operating systyem with new hard drive

First, unplug the power supply and remove the battery. Now, remove all the covers on the bottom of the computer untill you discover the hard drive. (replace the other covers) Remove the hard drive and keep it handy. The type of connections where you removed the hard drive are important. If there are about 44 pins in two rows, that is an IDE drive, If there are two small plastic connectors with contacts inside, that is a SATA drive. Now, you know what kind of drive to get. You ca buy it locally in a store or order it over the internet. There may be covers that must be removed from the old drive and put on the new drive to properly install it. so keep the old drive untill you have the new one properly installed.

Display problem in Fujitsu LifeBook C Series(c-6631

the internal bulbs of ur monitor screen have deteriorated...the manufacturers are real smart, these monitors dont last forever. So if repair estimate is too expensive then replace the whole unit.

Always purchase laptop or notebooks NEW or never more than 5 years old.
